"Et Eärello Endorenna utúlien. Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar tenn' Ambar-metta!"
"Out of the Great Sea to Middle-earth I am come. In this place I will abide, and my heirs, unto the ending of the world."
Year 120 of the Fourth Age.
King Aragorn Elessar and Queen Arwen reigned long and in great blessedness, but at last the weariness came upon the King, and then, while still in vigour of mind and body, he said farewell to his son, and gave into his hands the winged crown of Gondor and the sceptre of Arnor. On March 1, he laid himself down after the manner of the ancient kings of Númenor, and he died, while his Queen departed. The Reunited Kingdoms of Gondor and Arnor mourn for the loss of their King, but on the same day, came the coronation of his son, Eldarion. By Autumn of the year, Eldarion had moved the Seat of the King north to the city of Annúminas.
Now Annúminas rises in hope of glory, half rebuilt of white marble and granite, and half the ruins of crumbling memory. In the days since the War of the Ring, campaigns of the Reunited Kingdom have re-established dominion over Khand, Rhûn, and Haradwaith, and Eldarion has requested representatives of the realms to sit upon the Council of the Sceptre. The nations strive for peace and prosperity, and a sapling of the White Tree of Gondor has been planted in the new courtyard as a symbol of this growth.
Nonetheless, in the east and south, bands of discontent warlords still engage in land disputes. To the north there are whispers of a cult. That which worships the Valar Melkor, The Dark Lord. There is mischief and destruction at play in the restored Northern Kingdom. While the White Tree grows strong, rumor of a Dark Tree is milling about. Men are only content with goodness for so long before they grow weary, and the roots of evil go deep.
