One week. Two weeks. Three weeks.
Three weeks had gone by since the incident of her trying to harm herself. Three weeks of Ruivo behaving in a strange manner. He was always at a distance and every time she turned a corner he seemed to be there or following her. She had tested the fact if he was following her and she had found he was one day as she wove through a grove of trees.
Finally, Mithiel could no longer take Ruivo’s odd behavior. He was acting in such a strange manner that Mithiel decided she would force his hand. So one afternoon, after going horseback riding with Arwen and Elladan, Mithiel decided to change clothes for an afternoon walk.
Two dresses lay on her bed, the soft winter white with golden sunburst girdle belt, the second, a deep amethyst purple with bright silver studs dotting the dress. The purple’s bosom was cut lower than what she normally wore, elegant in showing off the sweet swells of creamy mounds with it’s deep cut. The slashed sleeves also studded. The skirt of the purple graze just the lower edge of her ankle and exposed skin when it swished. The white covered her feet entirely. Mithiel opted to wear the purple, paired with soft grey leather slippers that showed off the tops of her foot. She needed some attention and if Ruivo would not talk to her, she knew an ellon who would. Mithiel knew not just the purple gown would do, so to gain Erestor’s attention; Mithiel piled her hair up into a thick french roll, revealing the sliver of skin between the base of her head and the top of the creamy leather signature necklace.
Dotted on her pulse points, warmed by her body was perfume, a precious oil perfume that could no longer be made for the tree resin from which the perfume was based no longer resided in Arda. Only in Aman would she be able to recreate the sweet heady perfume that she long wore on festival days in Ost-in-Edhil, an age ago
Mithiel’s skirts swished against stone floor, and she had made her way from the long corridors of the sleeping quarters, down through the courtyard. Along the path that lead towards the forge. When she got to the bridge. Mithiel saw the forge in sight, then...she gave a whirl of her skirt and did not cross the short bridge but turned to walk along the graveled path that lead towards Elrond and Erestor’s offices. Her feet leading her to the dark haired scholar’s office.
“Erestor, my lord” Mithiel forced a sweet quiver into her voice as she looked demure upon him. Leaning against the door of his office. “I hope I am not intruding” she began when Erestor looked up, ink stain on his cheek. Steel eyes taken by surprise to see Mithiel...Mithiel suggestively leaning against the door frame of his office, silhouetted by the mid-afternoon light.
”Not at all my lady, what can I do for you” pipping with question in his voice, though his eyes were curious. Yet those lenses raked over Mithiel’s slender frame, fine boned. He appreciated the lady’s beauty. Few were the fair haired women amongst the Noldor. Erestor never did have a taste for Sindar.
“I was hoping that you might be free to accompany me on my walk?” she asked then continued on speaking. Almost smirking to herself as the quill in Erestor’s hand was dropped to his desk. Wiping the ink from his fingers. The dark haired scholar was more than delighted to provide Mithiel with company. Especially after she said. “I want to talk”
While walking with Erestor, she mentioned about the flowers she like the best and he told her that he saw daffodils growing near the forge and Mithiel smiled. Very much wanting to see the blossoms. So there they stood standing at the bridge on the the side of the forge and Mithiel licked her thumb, reaching up to wipe the smeared ink off Erestor’s cheek. The scholar’s eyes widened at the action, though looking past Mithiel.
“Sorry, you had ink on your cheek” her voice confident as the ellon’s eyes had widened. Clearing his throat and she turned just enough to glance over her shoulder.
