"That she is," Wyn chuckled as Paega praised her mother's healing skills, giving the woman a grateful look. "Truth be told, I'm feeling better than I have in a long time." Between a warm bed, good food, and skilled healers, the battle-scarred girl might as well have landed in the lap of luxury. As bizarre as it all felt now, maybe she could get used to this, living like a person instead of a renegade. "As for teaching me, well, I wouldn't want to pull you away from your duties, but anything you'd be willing to pass along, I would happily learn." Mordor's flora was a good deal different than what one could find in Rohan, but there were a few common herbs that she knew grew across the continent. Additionally, any new methods for binding wounds or staving off infection would be more than welcome.
She was reminded once again not to use metaphors around a three-year-old, as Paega seemed confused by her rueful statement. "Oh, no, I meant that--"
"Is it because you’we small?”
Wyn blinked, face reddening, but before the child could notice her embarrassment, Runa came to the rescue and gently chided her. Wyn knew the girl meant no insult, though. Children would be children, and if anything, it was almost touching how adamantly Paega denied that she looked like a mouse, even going so far as to offer to find one to demonstrate her point. "Uh--no need for that," she cut in hurriedly, not wanting her to run off in search of a rodent to catch. "I'll take your word for it." If anything, someone like her was probably more akin to a rat, sneaking about and snapping at anyone who tried to catch them. She had certainly been called as much, along with a few other names that she wouldn't dare repeat with a child present, even if they were in Black Speech and unlikely to be understood.
