Cries of pain and agony filled the battle scene as Meludir helped fight alongside his kin. So many had fallen, but Meludir could not stop to check on the potential survivors just yet. He had leapt from a tree, knocking down a few foes and used his bow to strike them hard. While all of this was happening, there was one thing on his mind: where was his King?
It had been noted that his presence was no longer here and the fear of what become made Meludir worry. No one went with him to wherever he might be going and the guard wondered if he even got there safely. Did Elros or Feren go? Meludir continued to look around, noticing that they had finally returned.
Where is our aran? He would ask in his light voice. He has gone to Caras Galadhon. Meludir eye’s widened. And you did not follow?! Feren seemed a bit displeased with Meludir and gave him a scornful look. We were ordered by him to not follow.
Well, that does it! Meludir wasn’t ordered to not follow! Then I shall! He should not go alone! Meludir quickly got on to a horse and kicked its flanks, riding to see how the king was. Even if there was peace amongst Celeborn and Thranduil, Meludir knew that a king should always be guarded and protected, for things could always happen when least expected.
The horse had made it quickly as it could, letting the guard quickly get off. Where is he? It seemed as if the people knew what he was talking about and immediately led him to where he needed to be. As soon as he made it to where he was, Meludir had to hold in the gasp and bow to his King.
My Lord, I have come to be by your side...should you need anything. I was told by Feren that you came alone. And I could not bare the thought. His mind added as his eyes finally looked up at the golden one. He seemed to be very much in pain and these healers seemed to be irritating him as well.
They were restraining him, making Meludir’s eyes widen. Was this truly going to hurt him this bad? His eyes lingered there for a moment too long, making him look down once more in respect. He saw the Lady of Light and bowed to her. My Lady, it is an honor to meet you.
A soft smile appeared on his face as he looked up at her, though he immediately went back to attend to his Lord. My Lord, what will you have me to do?
**Note: Aran is “king” in Sindarin
