“You will be silent on the issue of my desires,”
Elrohir was surprised with the hiss coming out of Ruivo’s mouth. He watched the older elf, having a small smile on his face. You need to calm yourself Ruivo. You act as if a fire is under your arse. Elrohir almost wanted to laugh at his own comment, but if he did so Ruivo would only anger more.
“Time only, you say. Only two summers past she visited Imladris here and I was told that she was seen slipping into your room in the night. Locking the door behind. That, to me, does not sound as simply speaking, and I am disturbed to the very core by the matter.”
The elf-knight rolled his eyes. People and their rumors. Yes, she came to me. She only did so because of a nightmare. Why she locked it I’ll never know, but I only let her have the other half of my bed while I slept. And yes I had my night robes on! Do not think differently. Someone had been spying. Elrohir knew he would have to be very careful now that he knew.
“Sixty two years is an elfling. Far too young for affections given by you. You should not be seeking after one so young. You have gone too far… there is no such thing as a bond showing itself this early...”
Ruivo continued to protest and finally Elrohir snapped. I cannot help what our hearts desire, Ruivo! If I could change it, I would! There is no going back now and I would advise you to leave me be! I think you’ve clearly made your point how you do not like the idea! Elrohir turned away from him and let out a huff. He was trying his best not to lash out, but he ended up doing so.
Ugh, he had said too much already. Ruivo was raging just like Elrohir did. “Do not speak of what you do not know. Whatever bond you think you know is ash on the wind compared to what I have with Mi-” Elrohir raised a brow at this. Oh? So he and Elrohir’s care taker as an elfling were a thing still? That’s new.
"When Elrohir has passed five thousand fifty five years, seven months, and…Twenty three days… with someone that he loves, then you may speak to me of better knowing bonds. When he knows how to put an elleth's safety and security before his own urges, then you will speak with me. Until then, you will be silent on that matter with me. You have no rights...”
And neither do you. You are not her father. I suggest you leave me be, Ruivo. You are angry and so am I and this will not end well if you continue to stand in my presence and yell about what I can or cannot do. Elrohir’s nostrils flared in anger as he tried his hardest to calm himself down. He warned Ruivo. It was enough for now, hopefully.
“It does not matter whether or not the Prince has attempted, it is merely rumor I have heard. Yet what matters most is your playing. She is not mature enough, at her age, to be toyed with by you. It is play, that is all there is to it. Almost forty years until she is of age, and you cannot wait and keep your hands to yourself. If you truly cared for her, you would wait. You would not play games with her now. You would do things in the proper order. You would come to my smithy and ask for me to craft you silver rings…”
Ruivo’s one eye glared and Elrohir just glared back at him. Challenge accepted. “And I would reject you in crafting them, for she is your cousin, she is too young, and her Adar would absolutely not approve of the elf you have become courting his daughter.”
It is a good thing then that I will not be asking you. Again, his cockiness came out and he flipped his hair behind his back. Who’s to say that I do not have silver rings already crafted? I might then I might not. Ruivo, you cannot change my mind no matter how much you disagree, no matter how much you say I’m “toying” and no matter how much you think that I am some elf that is terrible. Your words mean nothing here.
