"You wear upset on face.”
She avoided answering him. Adanedhel watched her carefully, secretly feeling that this would continue on the way it had been for a month. Instead of asking again, he just started fixing the clasps of her bracelets. He had once done this before. Before all this trouble and before all his foolishness, he had been able to do more than just the clasps of her bracelets.
"Odothel gave to me, music, before she leave.”
Again she chose to avoid telling him how she felt. Adanedhel was feeling a bit hopeless on this. He wasn’t good with elleth’s. The ellon kept himself with only his Naneth and never tried perusing an elleth before. With this one he had frightened her, causing her to think that this place wasn’t safe. That wasn’t the goal and Adanedhel hated himself for making her feel so afraid.
As he finished the clasps, the raven haired elf had decided that he should leave her be and pulled back. To his surprise though she grabbed his wrist, making his eyes slightly widen. Her palm slipped into his and Adan for a split second had hope fill his heart and his eyes. "You are fool.” At that, Adan misunderstood. He wanted to pull away and gently did he tug to try and leave. The frown and her agreeing did not encourage him to really stay.
"And maybe I fool too for… not try… not give… oilgolt...”
That made Adan stop moving, making him look at her and watch her. "Not give understand. Understanding,” she muttered and grimaced, looking back up at Adanedhel as she tried to decide if she was using the correct word. His breath caught for just a second. Could she mean what he was hoping for? That maybe she cared for him back? Was this what she was going to say? Mentally he was cursing himself for promising her to never tap into her mind again. If only he could now!
"Maybe I fool for turn away. What danger are you? Not to me, I should know. But to foe. I miss my warrior… my friend...” She swallowed and then looked back to Adanedhel. Staring at him, quite openly, her eyes clear and unhidden. “I miss my lover.”
Adan’s eyes widened in pure shock. She missed her lover. So Adan was her lover after all? She turned from him, still leaving him in a bit of shock at her admitting such a thing. What could he say? Instead, he heard her let out a laugh and began talking again. "My lover… It could be so. I can be wrong. Not often, but maybe I was. Maybe I was wrong. I did not take lover. Not in Rhûn. I did not have, but maybe I desire... Maybe I did in… here...” The ellon watched as she touched her chest where her heart was.
"I have...” she paused, and her face fell. Her lips trembled, and a tear came to the corner of her eye. “I have feeling… Feeling I not have before… I still have. I still want.”
And at that he came to her, gently wiping the tear off of the corner of her eye. He held her then. Oh, did it feel so good to have her back in his arms. He sighed a bit in relief, soaking up the moment before something ruined it. And so do I. I have missed you and I have still a want like you do. I just do not wish to frighten you. Whatever you wish I will do for you. If you need space I shall give it to you. If you wish for more, then I am here.
Adanedhel continued to hold her, still a bit reluctant to let go right now. But if she wished for it, he would do it in a heartbeat. Whatever she wanted he will give. I have missed holding you in my arms and speaking to you throughout the day. I have missed our walks and the sound of your voice.
