March 3010
Eoghan found himself in what seemed like a paradise. A thick forest by a big lake lay before him. He'd been scouting the area all day and saw no one except for a few small animals that lived in the forest. Even Aron, his pale stud, seemed calm and content as he drank deeply of the cool waters. It was nice, in fact, that Eoghan decided to take advantage of the quiet time and clean up and maybe rest. It had been nearly a week since he had last bathed and even he was beginning to dislike himself.
After removing Aron's saddle and bridle he curry combed the beautiful horse until he practically glowed. Then, tying him up to a bush Eoghan allowed the stud to feast on some fresh grass that grew along the shore of the lake. Then, taking out a bar of Elven soap he stripped his clothes off and, dunking them into the waters and scrubbed them clean, leaving his thick leather vest leaning against a tree. When he finished he wrung the clothes out and spread them over some bushes. And then did the same for himself.
The water was cold but fresh as he dunked him body and then scrubbed himself until his skin turned reddish and did the same to his long dark hair. Later he redressed in fresh clothes, repacking the nearly dry clothes into his saddlebags and, making sure Aron was contented, saddled him and then began to slowly move away from the lake astride his steed.
That was when he saw a small curl of smoke rising above the trees and he knew he was not alone. Someone was here also. Cautiously he made his way close to where the smoke seemed to come from. Knowing if he simply rode onto the camp he would most likely be greeted unfriendly and he wouldn't have blamed the residence.
Leading Aron quietly through the forest he stopped just short of where the smoke was riding and so, tying Aron up on a bush, slowly crept forward using the undergrowth to hide himself and carefully watched the scene before him.
a dark haired Elf was cooking something above a small flame. He most likely already knew Eoghan was there so he decided to call out to make his presence known.
"You in the camo! Might I share your cooking fire with you?!" he called out, hoping not to scare the Elven man.
