Name Meaning: Éowyn means 'horse-joy'

Appearance: Éowyn stands slender and tall for a woman of her age at 6.2 feet, though her face and expression doesn't yet stand strong nor stern, as it would during the war of the ring. Her face is fair and her skin is pale, and her long hair was like a river of gold. Her eyes are grey and still shine with some youthful mirth.
Personality: The Lady of Rohan is a noble-hearted shield-maiden who cared deeply about the house of Eorl and all the good people of Rohan. She trains diligently to become both a better Lady and warrior for when the time comes that she will be needed in either capacity. Despite all that, she is starting to become more and more restless as her duties in Edoras continue to grow in importance and time required, while she wishes more and more to achieve glory and freedom of her own.
Parents: Her father was Éomund, and her mother was Théodwyn, from who she inhered her beauty.

History: Eowyn was raised in the household of Théoden since she was 7 years old, as her father was slain by orcs in T.A. 3002 and her mother died from illness soon after the passing of her father. Éowyn has been generally adored by the people of Edoras, as she genuinely seems to care for their well-being when her time is not spend with training with the sword and shield, or learning other things that she is being taught to be an able Lady of the house of Eorl. While she has ridden in the open grass plains of Rohan and visited other parts of the Riddermark on rare occasions, she has generally been in Edoras for most of her life.
