Personality:
Finn is a sweet Hobbit. Very polite, especially towards his elders, as he has been taught by his Father and his extended family. He takes his occupation seriously and does an especially good job of doing it. But he has a bit of a wandering heart. Many say that is the Took in him. But of yet he has not left the Shire, the only home he has ever known. And yet something has told him there is so much more out there to discover. Maybe an adventure into the wilds unknowns.
He's heard of the mystery of Elves and the riches of Dwarves as well as the exciting lives of the Dunedain. His family history is one where the Harfoots once dealt and were friends with all of these peoples. He hopes one day he might meet with and interact with any of these individuals. And so he does a lot of fantasizing and day dreaming about them and he gets very excited about the possibilities.
As far as females go he loves the company of Hobittesses. But he has yet fall for that one special young female. Still, he takes great delight in their fun, flirtatious spirits and has even flirted back, especially at parties where various young Hobbits meet over cake and treats. He likes them all but none have stolen his heart. But he figures his time will come one day.

History:
Finn is descended from the Harfoots, the most common type of Hobbit and in their earliest known history they lived in the lower foothills of the Misty Mountains, in the Vale of Anduin, in an area roughly bounded by the Gladden River in the south and the small forested region near the High Pass to the north.
They were browner of skin than the other Hobbits, had no beards, and did not wear any footwear. They lived in holes they called Smials, a habit which they long preserved, and were on very friendly terms with the Dwarves, who traveled through the High Pass on the Great Road.
The Harfoots were the first to migrate westward into Arnor, and it was to them that the name Periannath or Halflings was first applied by the Dúnedain. They settled down for a time and founded numerous villages as far as Weathertop.
When they had reached Bree, which long was the most western village of any Hobbits, later they were joined by the Fallohides and some Stoors. The Harfoots took Fallohides, a bolder race, as their leaders.
Fulbert Goodsong, a tailor, was descended from the Harfoots and married the lovely Camelia Took and had a son Camelia named Finnbert, Finn for short. Unfortunately she did not survive the delivery and died shortly after Finn was born. But Finn never went without care as the Tooks looked after both father and son.
Finn learned how to be a tailor under his father's tutelage and stayed busy sewing outfits for both working class as well as upper class Hobbits in the Shire as well as surrounding areas. He could also mend clothing making it look as though it had never been damaged.
But the Took blood in him made him restless and he spent hours daydreaming and fantasizing about life outside the Shire.
