History:Born in Mirkwood, to a pair of military strategist. Tauriel was always destined for a life in Thranduil’s elven military by birth-blood. Her parents died when she was quite young, in the same battle that took the wife of King Thrandruil’s with orcs. As a child she was raised in tandem with Legolas, by Thranduil himself. She was favored as the daughter he did not have. Constant childhood companion to the Prince of Mirkwood. Educated alongside Legolas in all manners of life. From the scrolls and books in long lessons. To being hand to hand sparring partners. To ever being an ear and always by Legolas side and in his shadow or he in hers. Until a fated day... Until a backhand compliment that she did well, that Legolas was fond of her and his affections were changing from that of a friend to something else. That she should not give Legolas hope were there was none. For Thranduil would not allow that sort of affection to build. He demanded she be complacent in what he wanted. Legolas was a constant in her world and Thranduil would allow them nothing further than friendship...How that stung, the taste was bitter in her mouth. This was the beginning of the wound that ripped open within Tauriel...Along the way, Tauriel found herself dissatisfied with just doing as she was told. Just defending the borders of Thranduil’s holding while a shadow stirred in the forest and wicked spiders roamed. When a band of dwarves traveled through Mirkwood, they would end up in the great cavern dungeon beneath the great hall. Here, there was a dwarf that spoke to Tauriel at length about a talisman given to him by his mother.
Here, she exchanged a conversation that began the start of her downfall of ill grace with Thranduil. Eventually because of her actions in deciding to help aid the dwarves once they somehow...how she will never know. Escape from Thranduil’s halls. Would come to her banishment. Banished for failure to listen and obey Thranduil. Banishment for having shown kindness and care for one outside of her race. Banishment...To protect Legolas’ heart from further grief. She was sundered for many years from Mirkwood.
In her exile, Tauriel wandered middle- earth. She watched human’s from afar. Roamed the wildlands and took scouting jobs for those that needed a guide in the wild. She pondered the meaning of life, duty, and love under the leaves of Fangorn. Lost in the deep and old twisting paths. Soul searching. Retiring from Fangorn, Tauriel traveled to Lothlórien. In Caras Galadhon. Did Tauriel eventually find some peace and guidance. Though her heart was always within the bowers of Mirkwood and her great black river. After a suitable period of time, Tauriel would return to Mirkwood to seek out forgiveness with Thranduil for disobedience and impetus actions. To apologize, and mend what was broken, if she could to Legolas...
In the winter of 3011, Tauriel bound her soul with Legolas Greenleaf in marriage, to be his bride.
