Appearance: Tall and usually covered from head to toe, not much can be said about his appearance. Some say he is as tall as nine foot and others claim to have even seen blonde hair. Sauron is covered in heavy black and silver armor and usually carries his mace as he waits patiently for the world to end in dragon fire.

Personality: Sauron is merciless; he would rather watch you die a sufferable death then to let you walk away from his clutches. No one escapes death and no one escapes him. He will manipulate anyone or anything to get what he desires. The nazguls and orcs are an example of how much power he has over such weak minded things. Sauron thinks himself more surprior than anyone in Arda and won't stop until they all kneel before him. He is cunning, wise, and has no regrets what so ever.

History: In the First Age, the Ñoldorin Elves had left the Blessed Realm of Valinor in the Utter West (against the counsel of the Valar) in order to wage war on Morgoth (the first Dark Lord) who had stolen the Silmarils of Fëanor, enchanted gems that glowed with light from the now-destroyed Trees of Valinor. In that war, Sauron was counted as the "greatest of servants that have names". He was soon feared as a lord of horrid phantoms and dreadful beasts. He is a shape shifter, sorcerer, and a cunning servant of his dark master.

Before Melkor was captured, Sauron commanded the fortress of Angband and served as Melkor's lieutenant. When the Vala Tulkas came and captured Melkor, Sauron had already fled and was not found at all. After Melkor's defeate, Sauron decided to step in and become the second Dark Lord, striving to conquer Arda by creating the rings of power during the Second Age. Now he is gathering his armies and monsters, waiting to attack and take what is his and his alone.
