Traveling along the great east road, Tauriel found herself in a gloom she could not shake. She missed Mirkwood. She missed her tall trees, the green bowers and black river. She missed the sound of familiar voices and the smell of the woodland realm. Most of all, she missed LEGOLAS . She felt empty without him at her side. Like she was only half of one whole. He was her partner. Her tongue clicked as she urged her horse at a trot. She was making her way from the Blue mountains to Rivendell. Many miles still lay between there and here. Softly would she sing.
Turning over her thoughts of the elf prince that was her constant companion until the day of separation. True as the north star in the sky, constant and always there. Without Legolas, Tauriel felt lost. She wandered the realms, seeing all the sights Legolas once told her that he held desire to see. Her thoughts bent on them being apart because of Kili the dead dwarf prince of Durin's folk. Singing out her lament for Kili havign came between such a bond.
Tauriel sang out the notes of grief and her heart lightens some but not enough. If she could just get to Rivendell, everything would be okay. She could wait for the twins they were not there. Elladan would listen to her sorrow and offer words from his glided tongue. Elrohir could comfort her and ease the ache, ease the pain. Sooth the hurt. Tears fell onto her gloved hand.
But there is silence at my side
That haunts the place he used to ride
And my Companion can't belay
The loss that I sustained this day
How bleak the future now has grown
Since I must face it all alone
My road is weary, dark and steep
And it is for myself I sweep**
A future without her companion, her best friend at her side, all over a dwarf. Exile from her home, for a dwarf. Shame burned in her and her horse flicked his ears.

"A hand to aid along the road
A laugh to lighten any load
A place to bring a burdened heart
And heal the ache of sorrow's dart
Who'd willing share in joy or tears
And help to ease the darkest fears
Or my soul like his own defend
And all because he was my friend
A laugh to lighten any load
A place to bring a burdened heart
And heal the ache of sorrow's dart
Who'd willing share in joy or tears
And help to ease the darkest fears
Or my soul like his own defend
And all because he was my friend

No grave could hold so free a soul
I see him in the frisking foal
I hear him laughing on the breeze
That stirs the very tops of trees
He soars with falcons on the wing
He hears the song that night birds sing
Death never dared him captive keep
He lies not there, he does not sleep
I see him in the frisking foal
I hear him laughing on the breeze
That stirs the very tops of trees
He soars with falcons on the wing
He hears the song that night birds sing
Death never dared him captive keep
He lies not there, he does not sleep
