.The Facade.
Character Name: Orodreth
Name Meaning: Eagle Sight
Age: 32
Date of Birth: November 11, 2977 T.A.
Race: Man.
Residence: Dol Amroth
Profession: He was once a warrior for Gondor but now is just the local blind man who stays at the Starlight Inn and has been for sometime.
Appearance: Orodreth has dark hair like the raven’s wings and tanned skin from being out in the sun. His eyes were once a beautiful blue/green until he was struck with a blade that had caused his blindness. There is a scar across his face from said blade. The man stands at a good height, around 6ft or so. He is usually wearing normal Gondorian attire except for a necklace with a ring on it that was going to be his lady love’s.
Personality: Orodreth was once bitter about loosing his sight and everything he had. He is still in someways bitter, but mostly he is a good hearted man. He can be a little prideful at times, not letting those around aid him when he needs it at most. He even tries to help around the Inn when he can. The once outgoing man is now more reclusive at times, keeping inside his room most days if not helping around. Though, if ever asked, he would do anyone a favor so long as it didn’t have anything to do with “watching” things. The warrior’s blood still runs through him and he loves to sharpen his blade that was given to him by his father.
.The Blood.

Lothíriel - Mother
Ohtar - Father
Sibling(s): None
Spouse: Gilraen (Ex Lover)
Children: None
History: Ohtar was a man’s man. He was tall, broad, and every inch warrior. He fought many battles and had seen many things in his day. Though one thing had always made him kind, tender, and that was the woman of his life. She was beautiful; she was grace and they had married in T.A. 2973. For four years between his duties for Gondor, they tried for a child. His wife, Lothíriel had been pregnant finally and they were happy, elated that this would finally happen.
It wasn’t too long in the pregnancy when she started feeling.. cramps. Then soon came the blood. The wife of Ohtar had lost their first child and began to weep. Weep she did for many days and many nights and Ohtar had tried his best to make her happy. Nothing would unless they tried for another. So they had tried for another.. and then another until finally they gave up hope. Lothíriel did not wish to try anymore.
But later on, that seemed to all change, for she was with child again. Fear struck into both husband and wife, for they knew that this could lead into disaster. Though it seemed the nine months had went by fast and when it did, a baby boy came into the world in the year T.A. 2977. His hair was dark with curls, eyes a beautiful blue-green. He was the perfect child for the family and they cherished him dearly. The baby was also a curious one, always looking around and seeing everything it could. And so, his name would be Orodreth.
Orodreth had lived up to his name. As a boy, he would practice daily shooting his bow and would never miss the mark. He would also practice sword fighting with his father whenever he was free from duties, making the boy stronger and braver. The boy was quick; he had a sharp eye, an eye of an eagle.
As he grew up, he took on the challenge to be part of the army like his father. Ohtar couldn’t be any prouder and enjoyed standing side by side with his son in battle. It wasn’t too long when he started that his father eventually fell ill, causing more despair inside his wife’s heart. A few months had past by and the father of a warrior died.
Orodreth was saddened by this and wished to continue the legacy of his father. The man fought and fought, fighting as many battles as he could. During this time he had also a special someone who caught his heart. Gilraen; my wasn’t she beautiful? Long dark hair, big brown eyes. She was everything a man could dream of. They knew each other since childhood, always playing with one another when Orodreth wasn’t helping his mother or practicing with his father. She caught his heart and he knew that she was the one for him.
They became lovers and Orodreth promised her that the next time him and the men came back, he would marry her. She had accepted and was excited it seemed and so was he.
It wasn’t too long until things changed forever.
He was fighting for Gondor and all those who live there as hard as he could. With his sharp eyes he could pick which ones were weak and slice them apart before they ever got the chance to touch him. Though one got the chance alright, right before he could make a move. A sword came across his face and with that, the man screamed in agony and was soon pulled out of battle. He could no longer fight. No, not like this. He could not see! All that he knew was gone before him in a matter of seconds. All there was to see was darkness.
He came back from that fight, eyes wrapped and blood showing through the bandages. When he came back he was supposed to marry his lady love, his Gilraen. Well, that did not happen. When she saw that he was blind she turned the other way, leaving him with no one. Even his mother was gone. While he was away, she had passed away and was soon buried right after her passing.
With no sight, the man could not make money. With no money, the man could not keep things such as a home. So for the longest, he roamed the streets, a beggar and sightless. Some people took pity; some thought him to be strange. Though one person decided to give him an opportunity. A man had mentioned an Inn that he had and how he could give him a room, a home. Orodreth could not refuse such an offer and went with the man. He has now been living there for sometime, occasionally helping someone cut some vegetables or grumbling about how the music is too loud.
