"His name is Guy, and he is your rightful King", shouted a aged man as he stood before a tribal chief of the Dunlendings. Standing next to the aged man was a boy, no older than 14 years of age. He stood in modest armor, crafted from both mail and leather. The style of armor was close to Gondorian, which did not sit well with the chieftans, but the embroidery on the cape, the insignia on the breastplate, and the look of the boy behind it was Dunlendian. The style of armor was clearly a defensive choice rather than a statement of allegiance.
"So you want us to follow this boy", stated the chieftan as he sat on his wooden thorn with his fist buried in his chin. His words caused a scowl to appear on Guy's face, but the would be boy king simply held his tong. His scowl however remained ever present, but it did not hold the malice it held a moment before. Instead it was as if he was staring into the old chief tan's soul and the very sight of it rubbed the aged man the wrong way.
"Guy is no boy", stated his aged advisor. "He is the chief ..."
"Just because you all are willing to let a child lead does not mean that we are ready to do the same. A chief must ..."
"Be strong", spoke Guy finishing the man's words. The scowl had now vanished and was replaced by a evil grin. His sudden outburst caught the old chief by surprise. He was sure the boy was going to let the old man do all the talking. Why else did he bring him for.
"Is that not what you were going to say", spoke Guy finishing the man's words. The young boy then touched the hilt of his sword. The very action questioned every man in the room, who seeks a challenge? It was a bold move and a bold statement.
"If you question my ability ..."
"As if I would waste my time fighting a boy", scoffed the old warrior. Guy did not question the warriors fighting prowess, but he was sure that if the two dueled he would win. That was however his opinion. Age was never to be underestimated.
