Gosta is the daughter of two brigands from two different nations. her father Coldier was a renown blacksmith from Gondor who got caught cheating his taxes. Her mother was a Rohan women who was born into a arranged marriage. She originally married the man and had two twin boys by him, but eventually she got tired of him and felt a more wild calling. She originally simply let to find a new life in Gondor. When he followed her and demanded that she returned home she placed a axe between his eyes. On the run she eventually bumped into Coldir in the woods. The two became fast friends and eventually wed. The two of them built a home for themselves inside of the woods where Coldir picked back up his craft selling weapons and armor to the Drúedain and the outskirts of Rohan. His wife however took up a more aggressive trade. She began waylaying travelers and robbing them of there goods. She also joined up with the Drúedain to fight off Orcs that entered there domain. It should be noted that their relationship with the Drúedain could be considered neutral rather than good. They only dealt with each other when they had to.
Gosta grew up a daughter of her mother. As a little girl her mother would tell her about her raids in the woods and teach her how to hunt in the forest. She would learn how to track both men and beast alike and how to kill. At the age of nine she killed her first man. Her mother had disable him with her bow and made her finish the job. She considered it a lesson in the art of hunting. At the age of 12 Gosta hit her first growth spurt and grew to large for her mother's clothing. As a result she wore her father's old gear And began participating in her mother's raids. At the age of sixteen it became clear that Gosta was going to be a giant of a women. She was much taller than her father and her appetite was twice as large. The small raids her mother would conduct were not enough to sate the bloodlust that had grown in the young girl. It was around this time that a group of highwaymen had moved into the woods and Gosta had decided to join up with them. At the age of twenty Gosta was the head of this gang of brigands and was leading them on much larger raids. It was also around this time that Gosta's height had settled and her father was sure she would not grow any taller. This was when her father crafted her her first set of armor and Gosta learned to fight encased in steel. At the age of twenty four Gosta's gang of brigands ran into some trouble when they attempted to raid a merchants caravan. The caravan was not truly a caravan and was a trap set by Gondor soldiers. The failed raid ended up turning into a brutal skirmish. Gosta's men were being slaughtered till she joined the fray. Her size and strength intimidated most of the soldiers and though fear and ferocity they were able to win the fight, however at the end of the battle her gang was decimated. Among the fifteen individuals who made it up only three survived, Gosta, a guy they called Ratbag, and a fellow named Tim. Taking there spoils the three went there separate ways.
For the next year Gosta was a lot more careful and began raiding merchants and traders alone. To be honest after the fight with the soldiers the trade on the road had dried up. To make things worse Gosta mother started to argue with her about her actions. She wanted her daughter to find a man and settle down. She wanted her to give up the life of a bandit. Every day her mother feared the righteous judgement that would one day fall upon her family. Gosta however though she was just growing old and senile. The maiden ignored her mother's plea and continued her dangerous life style. Eventually however the nagging started to get on Gosta's nerves. The maiden eventually decided it was time to leave home and searched for better grounds to hunt for prey.
