Character Name: Manakras
Name Meaning: Based on Managarmr, the child of Fenris, attempting to devour the moon, chasing after it endlessly.
Age: Has been alive since the late first age.
Date of Birth: FA 464
Race: Werewolf
Residence: Gondor/Anorien
Profession: Huntress
Appearance: Manakras is an enormous bitch. Her fur is of an almost light-consuming black, whilst her eyes glow like emeralds. However, that is hardly the most poignant aspect of her. Manakras is a wolf the size of a barn. Standing around 20 feet at the shoulders and being easily 26 feet long without her tail, she is a truly enormous member of her species, making her father and elder brother proud. As all werewolves she possesses but a single, enormous shape, which has grown to its current size over the eons. As such, she can wear no clothing and has no need for armour or adornments. Her body is all the weapon, armour and coverage she will ever need. In fact, the only true decorum she has are her eyes and teeth, the latter of which are pearly white and ready to tear into and through anything she can possibly feed upon.
Personality: Manakras used to be just like every other werewolf at the time of the First Age. A blood-hungry monstrosity that would serve the dark lord Morgoth’s will without question or doubt. Alas, after the deaths of both her father, brother and countless others of her kind, she took to the open plains. Her home was lost, so she’d have to look for different hunting grounds. This also coloured her personality, as the evil soul of a lesser Maiar that had given life to her had influenced her actions all her life. After being detached from Sauron and Morgoth however, she developed as a beast primarily. She didn’t lose the gift of tongues, but she none the less assumed morals less focused around wanton destruction and moreso around self-benefit. Mana wanted to hunt larger and larger prey, stronger prey, more exciting prey! She wanted to devour oxen, wargs, horses, men, elves and all other creatures! So she took to hunting them all down! This eventually escalated into a desire to eat dragons and even the very moon itself, wherein neither of the two found fruition up to now, as the former died out and the latter remained out of reach. Now, she is simply an enormous wolf, who roams the lands of Rohan, Gondor and occasionally the outskirts of elven forests, hunting and devouring whatever she pleases. She has no true allegiances, although the Dark Lord Sauron may one day demand her servitude as the Lord over Wolves.

History:
Manakras was born in FA 464 as one of many children of the enormous Draugluin. She lived under Morgoth’s and Sauron’s rule for a fair amount of time, growing to an astounding size… although nowhere near comparable to her father, or elder brother Carcharoth. Alas, she was also the only one of that family to survive. The island of Werewolves, Tol-in-Gaurhoth, had been her birthplace. But it had also never been truly theirs, for it had once been known as Minas Tirith during the first age.
It was lost and only few werewolves remained after. Manakras herself had only survived because she had been out on a mission for the Dark Lord Morgoth, a simple scouting endeavor… yet one she would never return from. The Noldor ruled in this place now, having cleansed it of her kind and all other dark influences. So Manakras herself too sought refuge in the wilderness, becoming more wolf than servant of the dark lord.
Of course, she wasn’t left alone at all times. But if there was one thing she had learnt rather quickly, it was that few beings in this world were not afraid of an enormous wolf. A fact that became only more evident as time passed and she grew to truly titanic sizes. Certainly, she never quite reached the size of her brother, but she none the less was most definitely the largest remaining member of her kind.
Potentially also the only remaining member of her kind. These two aspects had a lot to do with each other, but even so, she was large, she was strong and she was fast enough to hunt down any creature stupid enough to attempt escaping from her by running. She became a scourge to farmers, villagers, but also wildlife of all forms. In short, she was a simple predator.
When she heard of the name Minas Tirith being given to yet another city, she decided to terrorize the realms of Gondor in particular, mainly to spite the humans who would dare call their city after the thing that had been there before her home. If she could have, she would have conquered it right then and there, to name it Tol-in-Gaurhoth again.
Alas, without an army even the largest wolf would not be able to overthrow these walls… although she remained fairly confident that she could likely jump them. Regardless, she was no dark servant any longer… not directly at any rate. And the ‘Foes’ power grew, she sensed that much. Sauron, who had reared her, was gaining in power again after having lost the vast majority of it during the Second Age.
It mattered little… unless he called on her, she would remain mute and blind to his endeavours and would treat any orc as much as a meal as a human. That was her true nature… a devourer of everything. It wouldn’t do for her to be used as a glorified guard-dog once more. That wouldn’t do at all.
