Ceolmund shrugged off the Matron's advice about stitches. She knew very well he never wished to receive any. If Oda had seen the sheer number of orc that had had been taken down in the grasses, it could be that she would reconsider her statement, for a few stitches in the hand, and a few on Mel's sider were not much compared to what could have been; though Ceolmund chose not to mention it again. Not in the Hall. Not with Runa's emotions teetering.
Mel accepted the invitation to come to their home; after all, they had a room free now that it was no longer needed by their niece. Runa mentioned her by name, though Ceolmund had often refrained from bringing her up these past months. They may as well allow a worthy guest to stay, and Ceolmund was curious about her training, and the types of weapons she had upon her person. He would be glad to ask ask some questions of her.
It seemed that Oda was satisfied with the course of events; the departure of Runa from the Hall. Ceolmund knew she needed to keep herself busied, yet he too wished she would keep off her feet. She seemed healthy as could be though, fit to as any mare to carry a child. It was only the weakness in her shoulder from the arrow wound still holding her back from being as spry as she had been in May. Well.. . also the belly, and the waddle to her gait; but she was not incapacitated in the least.
“Boy. I’ll come down and get your hide myself if she ends up back here.”
“Yes, Matron,” Ceolmund answered with a nod to Oda. There was no use in arguing; though he doubted he was going to be able to keep Runa in one place; at least upon his working hours. He might try to reason with her again though… he knew she had good intentions.

“I'll walk with you home… I think we have… a neighbor who might be able to help with garment. Do you think... Leofdæg?" The home down the street; kitty-corner to theirs. Leofdæg's daughter, Darelle, was taller than a good deal of the women in the city, and slender... perhaps not as tall as Mel, but whatever dress they may find for her would be well enough for the evening while Runa could mend the tunic she now wore. And while Ceolmund had often done favors for the family of Leofdæg, namely, prying their many cats off of various rooftops, he had not needed ask favor of their family before. Surely they would not mind to help their guest.
"What was it that you came down here for?” he asked Runa knowingly. She always had some reason these past weeks to weasel her way down the hill. Some herb to collect; some tonic to prepare or gather ingredient for. He did not wish her winding her way back down to the hall again this evening for it; though he'd be home now for the night to run whichever errands she needed. Plus, they'd have their guest, and certainly Runa too would be interested in hearing of whatever tales, and strategy, and weaponry which Mel would offer them, for Ceolmund and Runa had like interests.
