As Aoallith had found it becoming fall, it was the best time to head over to sell her skins, and in addition, sell whatever goods she had excess of. She lived by herself and so could afford to live on just enough. Besides, it was not impossible to get goods from the wilds during Winter so long as one knew where to look. It was for this reason that she had asked a favor from one of the men with a horse and cart to help take her and her goods for a share of some of the goods and some meat for his own home during the winter. It was a fair trade, and for that reason, Aoallith travelled through the back of the cart, bow on her back as well as the quiver. With the goods at the ready, she’d head off, and within time, she had set up shop with permission of course within the center of Edoras, the midpoint.
Poor people, rich people, old people, and young people would come to buy a selection of pelts which she had meticulously stored throughout the year. Some had wanted the rough hide of a boar or bear. Some had wanted the soft and yet comfortable skin of a rabbit to make their shoes. All the while, she waited for people to come along and purchase her wares. A jar had been set up which contained all the the silver, copper, and the rare gold coin which made it into her grasp. This jaw was what she would use to pay the king. For herself, she had waited to see the remainder before she’d do anything else. People came about with their coin, and she simply took and offered, occasionally bartering to raise prices, especially when one bought in bulk.
The excess meat she bought was either salted or pickled in brine, and people eagerly purchased what they could as meat wasn’t the easiest to get your hands on. So, with that, she looked to address any individuals that would came about. On this autumn day, she took liberty to pay immediately once work here for the day was done. She only came once a year, and usually she came with a full cart and left with a lump sum of an odd amount of money which she paid back to her nation. One may ask why she had so much to give in terms of her monetary profit and such like that? Well, the answer was rather simple.
Aoallith lived well off the land. She had few uses for her money. She also knew how to make sacrifices. She made her arrows, she knew how to make her own bows, and she knew most certainly how to take care of herself. Despite the fact she was getting a bit older, she knew how to take life into her own hands and go about it. “Come and buy yourself the pelts and skins needed to keep yourselves warm and meat to enjoy this bitter winter! Feed your lads and daughters and pray for the returns of your husbands! For you men! Buy these furs to make into a fine pair of boots!” When anyone came to her and offered her meager pay for her work, she immediately refused them. She was a woman, but she worked as hard as any man for this pay.
She would not accept ten copper when a man would be paid a silver. She would only make slight leeway for those whom were suffering from hard times. She could understand that much, and it was for that reason that she was likely drawing quite the attention from others. She offered fair prices, and with it, the finest quality of goods of a huntress of her caliber. She occasionally looked down to her side, chewing a piece of jerky, tiredly looking around herself. This fair skinned woman was one that offered nothing but goodness for the men, women, and children of middle earth, particularly Rohan. So, who else would come to talk with this woman? From the large selection of pelts she had here, it would not be hard to find business. Though, the question on if there were enough people to buy them was another question.
